She has been teaching since 2008, specializing in tap, which she considers her first love. Loryn lives by the, “when in doubt, stomp & clap!” motto. Her heart’s work is sharing the joy of dance with the community, teaching classes for South Hadley Council on Aging, Western MA Dance and Movement, Pathlight Group’s annual fundraiser, “Let’s Dance!”, and choreographing local musical productions. She most recently was the choreographer for Hampshire Regional High School’s spring musical, “The Drowsy Chaperone”.
Loryn graduated from Elms College with bachelors degrees in both Graphic Design & History. After college, she followed her life-long dream all the way to a job at Walt Disney World, where she spent 5 years working as a photographer. She is a graphic designer & web designer by training but now spends her days with the Physics and Astronomy departments at Mount Holyoke College. Loryn’s classes are filled with high energy, big hearted movement, a love of noise-making, high-fives, and true inclusion for all. She encourages each of her students to find the joy in movement & to always remember, “it’s gonna be GREAT!”
